Synonym Catalog Error - name is not unique

Hi!

I have DC Professional Edition 5.1.5. When we save a new synonym based on a datastore we received the error bellow. How ever, DC saves it and it is possible to use it.

Hi Renato,

I think values in the "master term column" column of the datastore you use to create the synonym table must be unique. So it can not have the same master term in more than 1 synonym entry.

I hope this helps answering your question.

regards,

Hans Drexler

I just tried (using an SQL Server table with no unique or primary key restrictions). I get the same error, but only with datastore dictionaries. The error also implies that it's the synonym catalogue that already exists.

It looks like we try to add the datastore dictionary twice for some reason. A bit weird that no one has run into this before, actually. We always use text file dictionaries (since they're a bit easier to work with), but of course this should work properly.

Renato, I'll add this issue to our bug tracker. I hope that you can live with the spurious error message until we've gotten it fixed. We'll ping you here when we have it fixed, then the next release after that will contain the fix.

Best regards,
Dennis

Whoops, I of course meant "datastore/text file synonym catalogue" where I wrote "datastore/text file dictionary".

Thank you very much, Hans and Dennis, for the attention.
All the best,
Renato
